Match Play Championship
Play Golf
FORMAT:
Individual match play. The field will have a max number of 32 in the Championship Division, 32 in Senior Division, 16 in Super Senior Division and 16 in Professional Division. Regular and Senior seeding for the bracket will be based on the previous year’s Tri-Cities Amateur Tour standings. Super Senior seeding will be a blind draw. Professionals will be seeded based on the previous year’s Chapter Championship.
DIVISIONS:
Championship (ages 49-below)
Senior (ages 50-up)
Professional (all ages/same tees)
SCHEDULE:
Matches are scheduled to begin May 15th (schedule may change based on entries). Each round will be given approximately 4 weeks to play the match. Failure to play the match will result in a coin flip or committee decision.
The time frame to complete the match will be determined after the registration deadline and based on the number of entries
Finals at The Virginian will be held on October 11 at The Virginian.
ELIGIBILITY:
Must be Tri-Cities resident and have an 8 or better handicap to participate (comprised of Hamblen, Jefferson, Claiborne, Hancock, Hawkins & Greene counties, and extends to the eastern tip of the State of Tennessee. It also includes Lee, Russell, Scott, Washington & Wise Counties in the State of Virginia)
FEE:
$50 per player entry fee
Players are responsible for the course fee at each match with exception of the Finals
PAYOUT:
The payout will be based on the number of entries and paid in gift cards.
